Blast kills at least eight in Syria’s rebel-held Afrin
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] A boom-mobile killed at least eight people and maimed many others on Thursday in the Syrian city of Afrin which Ottoman Turkish-backed rebel groups captured from Kurdish fighters last year, medical sources and a war monitor said.
The blast struck an entrance to the city, killing civilians including children, the Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights war monitoring group reported.
The Observatory and the medical sources said many other people had been injured in the earth-shattering kaboom, some very badly.
