Twitter locks McConnell campaign’s account over video of protesters
[NYPOST] Twitter locked Sen. Mitch McConnell’s campaign account after he posted a video of protesters gathered in front of his Kentucky home, shouting that he should "die" and break his "little raggedy wrinkled-ass neck," the company said.
McConnell’s campaign posted the video Tuesday morning after his camp traded jabs with freshman Rep. Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez

, who slammed McConnell after young supporters of his were pictured "groping and choking" a life-sized cardboard cutout of her.
"Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and liberal Twitter personalities are trying to dox some underage kids for taking a photo with a cutout at the Fancy Farm political picnic and are cheering on thousands of accounts calling for Senator McConnell to ’break his neck,’ " the campaign wrote in the tweet that accompanied the video.
In the video, which has been taken down by Twitter, a protester in front of McConnell’s house is heard shouting that he should "die."
"This is this b‐h’s house. He’s in there nursing his little broken arm. He should’ve broken his little raggedy wrinkled-ass neck," the protester says.
"Just stab the motherf‐-r in the heart, please," she adds.
"Retire!" another one of the demonstrators says, according to the video.
"Nah; f‐k that. He’ll get a pension," the other protester shouts back. "Die!"
Twitter temporarily locked the account because the video violated its violent threats policy, "specifically threats involving physical safety," the company said in a statement.
But McConnell’s camp wasn’t buying it and blasted the social media giant for hypocrisy, saying threats against the senator have trended nationally.
"Twitter will allow the words ’Massacre Mitch’ to trend nationally on their platform. But locks our account for posting actual threats against us. We appealed and Twitter stood by their decision, saying our account will remain locked until we delete the video," McConnell’s campaign manager Kevin Golden said in a statement.
