 Bomb explosion kills Iraqi major in Mosul city 22 September Mosul (IraqiNews.com) – An Iraqi army officer was killed Sunday in a bomb explosion in Makhmour district, east of Mosul city, a security source said. Speaking to Baghdad Today website, the source said that an explosive charge targeted an army patrol in Makhmour district, leaving a major dead. A manhunt was launched to arrest perpetrators of the attack, the source added.
