Taliban militants suffer heavy casualties in failed attack on security posts in Paktika
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan forces repulsed a Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban...attack on security posts in South-eastern Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... province inflicting heavy casualties on group’s fighters. The 203rd Thunder Corps said in a statement a group of Talibs attempted to attack the security posts in Mata Khan district but the Afghan forces effectively responded to the attack. The statement further added that the security forces killed 13 Talibs during the clash and maimed at least 7 others. Furthermore, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the Talibs left behind a 82mm mortar launcher, 2 Ak-47 rifles, 2 M16 rifles and a night vision binocular following the clash.
