More than 70 militants killed, wounded in Afghan-U.S. forces operations: Thunder Corps
[KhaamaPress] A series of  ...KABOOM!... s and ground operations killed or maimed more than 70 Talibs in the Central and South-eastern parts of Afghanistan. The 203rd Thunder Corps said in a statement the U.S. forces conducted airstrikes in Jalrez district of Wardak province which killed 20 Talibs, maimed 8 others and destroyed a Dshk machine gun, a vehicle and 11 cycle of violences. The statement further added the Afghan army pounded Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... positions with artillery strikes in Nerkh district of Wardak which killed 2 Talibs and maimed 3 others. Furthermore, the Afghan Air Force conducted airstrikes in Qala area of Ghazni city and Haji area of Khwaja Omari districts which killed 22 Talibs, maimed 6 others and destroyed 11 cycle of violences. The Thunder Corps also added that the U.S. airstrikes killed 9 Talibs, destroyed a 82mm mortar and 3 cycle of violences in Qarabaghi and Liwan areas in Ghazni city. The Afghan army artillery units also conducted artillery strikes in Deh Yak district of Ghazni which killed a Taliban Death Eater and destroyed a 82mm mortar, the Thunder Corps added.
