Prominent Taliban commanders among 17 killed, wounded in failed attack on Darqad district
[ToloNews] The Afghan forces repulsed a major Taliban ...Arabic for students... attack on Darqad district of Takhar province in the North-east, killing or wounding at least 17 bully boyz including two key commanders of the group. The Ministry of Defense in a statement said the Talibs launched a coordinated attack on Qara Tapa area of Darqad district late on Wednesday night. The statement further added that the Afghan forces effectively responded the attack, killing at least 11 bully boyz including Qari Qadir and Qahrman, the two key commanders of the group. The security forces also killed 6 Red Unit bully boyz of the group and maimed 6 others during the clash. Meanwhile, ...back at the barn, Bossy's udder had begun to ache... the Defense Ministry said an Afghan soldier also lost his life during the clash and 6 others sustained injuries. The Taliban group has not commented regarding the clash so far.
