Egypt's intel chief arrives for Israel-Paleostinian talks
Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman visited for talks with Israeli and Palestinian leaders, part of Arab efforts to push along reforms to the Palestinian Authority. Suleiman met with Israeli Defense Minister Binyamin Ben-Eliezer and was to speak with Yasser Arafat, confined by Israeli forces in his Ramallah compound, later Sunday.
It's always difficult to anticipate what the Egyptians will actually do, since they're noted for saying one thing and doing another. My guess would be that they're going to publicly express support for the Paleostinians and in private talks push Yasser toward the buttered side of the toast.
