The Tory boss said work to finally get Britannia out of the EU would start later today, with the Tories on course for a majority of 86 and to take 46 per cent of the vote. Actual counts as they come in - one seat still undecided - 38 seats more than an absolute majority - a massive win.

Berger, who left the Labour Party over issues related to anti-Semitism, loses to the sitting Conservative MP Mike Freer. Freer wins with 24,162 votes with Berger taking 17,600, a rise of 25.3% for the Liberal Democrats.
