- Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani, 60, pleaded guilty in federal court in Miami, Florida, to one charge of attempted destruction of an aircraft
- Alani faces up to 20 years in prison during his sentencing in March 2020
- Reports say Alani has possible links to Islamic State members in Iraq
...that would be his brother, whom he visited in Iraq in March...
- Alani was seen on surveillance footage gluing Styrofoam into the plane's nose so he could gain overtime to fix the plane
