Taliban militants, Afghan forces suffer heavy casualties in Ghor clash
[KhaamaPress] The Talibs and Afghan cops suffered heavy casualties during a clash in Ghor province, the local officials said.

The incident took place late on Sunday night in Kotal-e Salah area of Shahrak Ghor district.

The district administrative chief of Shahrak Ghor Mohammad Kabiri said the Talibs attacked the security posts in Kotal-e Salah area for the second time on Sunday night.

Kabiri further added that 11 security personnel bit the dust during the clash and 5 others sustained injuries.

The Talibs also set two Humvee Armored Personnel Carriers on fire, Kabiri said, adding that the security forces also killed 15 Talibs during the clash.

According to reports, the Talibs and security personnel also suffered casualties during a clash in the same area two days ago.
Tolo News adds:
The attack took place on the Herat-Ghor highway and the fighting "lasted for several hours,” according to Kabiri.

“More than 20 Taliban were also killed in the clash,” he said, adding that the Taliban "torched two humvees and stole a third.”
