The agency’s March 24 letter warns physicians and pharmacists of professional consequences for the prescribing of hydroxychloroquine (and chloroquine). Beyond the rational recommendation against hoarding, the letter includes threats of "administrative action" against the licenses of doctors that prescribe hydroxychloroquine.

The international team of experts says that the presence of the SARS-CoV-2-related coronaviruses means that pangolins, a species of scaly anteater, should be viewed as a possible carrier in the ongoing pandemic.

Members of the House of Representatives shouted down Rep. Thomas Massie as they passed the coronavirus stimulus bill ‐ with one politician bellowing "f‐k you!" at the Kentucky Republican.

Massie forced hundreds of politicians to return to the House chamber for the vote after indicating he would raise a point of order that fewer than 50 percent of politicians were present as required.

But when the libertarian engineer stood to protest that the chamber was not full, a furious colleague shouted "look around!"

Surrounding Massie were hundreds of Republicans and Democrats who packed into the chamber and also the public viewing gallery one floor above to maintain enough distance to avoid spread of COVID-19.

Over 300,000 Coronavirus Cases, 18,289 Deaths in Europe: AFP Tally
[ENGLISH.ALMANAR.LB] More than 300,000 cases of the new coronavirus were recorded in Europe, with more than half registered in Italy (86,498) and Spain (64,059), according to an AFP tally at 1640 GMT on Friday.
18289 ÷ 305851 = 6% death rate
There were a total of 305,851 cases in Europe, including 18,289 deaths making it the worst-hit continent. Asia was at second place with 102,043 cases of which 3,683 were fatal.

The tally, based on official figures, reflects only a fraction of the total cases worldwide.

[ABCNews] Hundreds of active duty soldiers are also deploying to support field hospitals.
In yesterday’s roundup we read that the U.S. Army put out a call for help from its retirees. This is the response after only one day.
