Car bomb at police in Saddam Hussein's hometown kills 15 people
 A car bomber drove into a parking lot inside police headquarters in Saddam Hussein's hometown and detonated explosives on Thursday, killing at least 15 people and wounding 22, police and witnesses said. The massive blast in Tikrit set ablaze 20 cars and sent clouds of smoke into the sky. At least 10 charred bodies could be scene laying on the ground. Police Lt. Sha'alan Allawi said the bomber drove a vehicle into a parking lot inside the police compound before detonating the explosives.
