6 injured in Minneapolis shooting
 [KSTP] The Minneapolis Police Department is investigating a shooting that left six people injured early Sunday morning. According to police, just before 2 a.m., officers were notified about a ShotSpotter activation on the 200 block of West Broadway. Once officers arrived at the scene, they were advised that the victims had all been taken to the hospital by private transportation. Officers then notified both North Memorial Medical Center and Hennepin County Medical Center to be aware that there may be shooting victims arriving in private vehicles. The preliminary investigation found that a fight broke out inside an establishment near the scene. The fight then spilled into the outside and shots were fired. Suspects fled before officers arrived. While officers were investigating the scene, other officers responded to both hospitals to check for potential victims. According to officers, Hennepin County Medical Center located three victims and North Memorial Medical Center found two victims. An additional victim was found a few blocks away from the shooting scene and was transported to Hennepin Medical Center by ambulance. Posted by: Fred 2020-06-15 |
