Peace activist, 75, who cracked his head open and suffered a brain injury after he was pushed to the ground by Buffalo cops during Black Lives Matter protest is going into hiding after receiving death threats
- Martin Gugino has received 'concerning and threatening messages and one letter', lawyer Kelly Zarcone said Thursday
- The elderly cancer sufferer will not return home on his release from hospital because the death threats have sparked fears over his safety
- He suffered a skull fracture in the unprovoked attack by officers back on June 4
- Gugino was shoved by cops while peacefully protesting in Buffalo
- He fell to the ground, cracking his head open on the sidewalk and leaving him lying in a pool of his own blood
- The footage went viral on social media and sparked outrage over police brutality
- Two Buffalo cops Robert McCabe and Aaron Torgalski were arrested and charged with second degree assault
- McCabe and Torgalsk were suspended and each face up to seven years in prison if convicted of the class D felony
- The incident and subsequent charges have divided the nation, with calls mounting for widespread police reform
- However other cops and Donald Trump have come out in defense of the officers with the president calling Gugino an 'ANTIFA provocateur'
