Two Afghan Forces Commanders Killed in Taliban Attack in Helmand

The attack happened in the Jahanzib area in Nahri Saraj district in Helmand, said Omar Zwak, a front man for Helmand governor. According to Zwak, Colonel Mohammad Zahir was chief of staff the 4th Battalion of the Afghan Army’s 205 Maiwand Corps in the south zone, and 1st Lieutenant Mohammad Jan Khpulwak was the chief of staff for the 3rd Battalion of Border Forces in the province. Zwak said that the attack that happened last night left three other force members maimed. The Taliban has also suffered casualties in the attack, he said. The Taliban has not commented on this.
