With Debate Over Vote-By-Mail Heating Up the Postal Workers Union Makes a Bothersome Announcement
 Excerpt:[Red State] The American Postal Workers Union’s National Executive Board has voted to endorse Joe Biden for President of the United States. In their decision, the Board recognized his record of advancing the cause of unions, his support for the public Postal Service, postal workers, and his opposition to postal privatization. The union is very opposed to this concept of selling off the government service to a private sector ownership, as has been proposed. This is resisted, despite the fact that last year saw the agency lose $8.8 billion, a nearly $4 billion growth in losses from 2018. The USPS now stands with over $11 billion in debt. Yea, you’d hate to turn that success story over to a private sector entity. Considering what a tempestuous issue this is becoming, the idea of the influential workers union lending support behind a particular candidate is more than bad optics.
