Taliban militants suffer heavy casualties as Afghan forces repel attack in Zabul
[KhaamaPress] The Talibs suffered heavy casualties after the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces repulsed an attack in southern Zabul province..The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a statement said the Talibs were planning to launch attacks on Meezan and Atghar districts of Zabul on Monday night. The statement further added that the security forces launched operations to thwart the plan of the bully boys. According to defense ministry, the security forces killed 12 Talibs and maimed at least 6 others during the operations. The security forces also destroyed a PKM machine gun and 4 Ak-47 assault rifles during the same operations, the Ministry of Defense added in its statement.
