Abuses still going on in Syria: rights group
DAMASCUS — Arbitrary arrests and "flagrant" human rights violations are still occurring in Syria, a rights organisation in the country said yesterday. The Syrian Human Rights Association (ADHS) urged the government, which has been under consistent international pressure over its rights record, to stop making "arbitrary" arrests and pointed to a number of recent cases.A statement from the group said it "condemned the continuation of these arbitrary arrests and all the flagrant human rights violations".
