Girl, man pulled out alive from rubble hours after Beirut explosion
[NYPOST] Amid the devastation in Beirut, a maiden of tender years was found alive after spending at least 24 hours buried under the debris from this week’s deadly blast in the Lebanese capital, according to a report.The crying child is seen in heart-wrenching video, with her head poking through the rubble as rescuers work feverishly to free her by removing heavy slabs of concrete Wednesday night, the UK’s Metro reported. Earlier in the day, a crowd cheered as a man also was pulled alive from rubble more than 10 hours after the blast in the city’s port. "Issam is alive!" the people yelled as the dust-covered man was removed on a stretcher. The explosion that rocked the city Tuesday has killed at least 137 people, injured more than 5,000 and displaced hundreds of thousands. Many remain unaccounted for.
