, greeting throngs of backers with a wave from an SUV.

The commander-in-chief, wearing a mask, waved to supporters from the rear passenger seat of a black Chevy Suburban, shortly after tweeting a video in which he promised a "little surprise visit" to the crowd.

"I also think we’re gonna pay a little surprise to some of the great patriots that we have out on the street," said Trump in the video, published moments before the unannounced drive-by. "They’ve been out there for a long time and they’ve got Trump flags and they love our country.

"I’m not telling anybody but you, but I’m about to make a little surprise visit."

Following the brief spin, Trump returned to his suite at the Bethesda, Md. hospital, where he was admitted on Friday less than 24 hours after he and first lady Melania tested positive for the contagion.

Doctors say Trump on steroid therapy, health improving after brief 'episodes'
[NEWS.YAHOO] President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
's medical team said Sunday in a presser that Trump's conditions were improving after multiple "episodes" over the weekend and he was placed on a steroid therapy typically used with more severe Covid-19 cases."Since we spoke last, the president has continued to improve. As with any illness, there are frequent ups and downs over the course particularly when a patient is so closely watched," said Dr. Sean Conley, a White House physician.

Dr. Sean Dooley said that Trump has remained without a fever since Friday morning and that his vital signs are stable. Trump could be discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center as soon as Monday, the doctors said.

Trump's doctors said that the president was on dexamethasone, the steroid used for the sickest Covid-19 patients. The medical team said the president took his first dose of the drug on Saturday and would remain on it for the "time being."

Sunday’s update follows a dizzying 24 hours chalked full of conflicting accounts from the White House on the state of the president's health, leaving the American public with little information on the country's leadership as the nation continues to grapple with the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

Israeli expert: Early action by Trump doctors apparently averted serious illness
[IsraelTimes] Prof. Gabi Barbash, a top commentator on matters related to the coronavirus since the pandemic began, assesses that US President Donald Trump’s doctors apparently have managed to prevent him from suffering a serious illness.

Speaking on Channel 12, Barbash explains that of the two drugs Trump was given, remdesivir prevents the virus from replicating in the body while Regeneron is experimental and includes antibodies that destroy the virus. Regeneron has been used on 270 patients so far with no side effects, he says.

"I imagine that his doctors assessed that he was on the path to serious illness, judging by the first two days," Barbash says. "They took a make-or-break decision to give him experimental treatment. They apparently gave it to him very early. The effect of the antibodies given early in the illness... was apparently effective. Now they’re using steroids to prevent complications of the immune system."

Asked whether Trump is out of danger if they discharge him tomorrow, Barbash says: "He’s not without danger, but, overall, they’ve apparently taken him out of the early stage of what could have been serious illness."
