Apprehending ‘10 Individuals’ in Connection to Attack on VP Saleh: NDS
[KhaamaPress] Afghan National Directorate of Security...the Afghan national intel agency... , announced the capture of 10 ISIS and Haqqani affiliated members in connection to an liquidation attempt on Amrullah Saleh, First vice president. NDS stated, that 10 members belonging to ISIK and Haqqani were arrested with the suicide kaboom on first Vice president Amrullah Saleh, and were planning to carry out attacks on other prominent figures in the country. The terrorist affiliated members are detained in a series of complex operations. Attack on the first VP on sept 9 left 10 people dead and 31 other maimed. Tolo News reminds us about attacks on VP Saleh: The attack on Saleh happened when he was on his way to his office on September 9. The attack left over 20 others maimed. It was the second time that Saleh has survived an attack. On July 27, 2019, the office of the political movement, Green Trend, which Saleh heads, was attacked while Saleh was meeting with about 100 members of the group. It happened the day before the presidential election campaign started in the country. It left over 20 people dead and over 50 maimed. At least four attackers were involved in the siege which started with a boom-mobileing around 4:40 pm Kabul time on Sunday. It targeted the Green Trend office, a political movement run by Mr. Saleh, in Shaheed Circle in Kabul’s PD4, in an area surrounded by civilian houses, a university, and a small township.
