Taliban Claim ‘Female Commander’ Joined their Group in Baghlan:
[KhaamaPress] A female resident — known as commander Kaftar — joined the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
Death Eaters in Baghlan province of North Afghanistan, the turban group claimed in a statement Thursday.

While the Afghan government did not immediately comment or affirm the claim, Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid in a tweet Thursday evening said Kaftar has been "forced" to stand against Islamic Emirates’ Mujahidin.

"Female commander (Kaftar) mislead by enemy & forced to apparently stand against IEA Mujahidin in Sajano area of Nahrin district #Baghlan joined Mujahidin along with her armed followers earlier today," he said. "Preaching & Guidance Commission officials welcomed them."

North Afghanistan is an insecure zone, where a number of residents in some provinces stood armed to fight against the Taliban turbans, supporting Afghan Security and Defense Forces in their battle. They are known as the People’s Uprising Forces.
