US Embassy in Turkey receives ‘credible reports’ of potential terrorist attacks and kidnappings
[WashingtonExaminer] The U.S. Embassy in ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... received "credible reports" of potential terrorist attacks and kidnappings, including those against U.S. citizens, in Istanbul, according to a statement Friday morning. "The U.S. Mission in Turkey has received credible reports of potential terrorist attacks and kidnappings against U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in Istanbul, including against the U.S. Consulate General, as well as potentially other locations in Turkey," the statement read. "U.S. citizens are advised to exercise heightened caution in locations where Americans or foreigners may gather, including large office buildings or shopping malls." Between 2015 and 2017, several terrorist attacks were attributed to the Islamic State  ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allaharound with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not reallyMoslems.... , including a bombing in Ankara that killed 102 people, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named. In July, Turkey detained 27 people whom it believed were connected to ISIS.
