12 Taliban Killed in Kandahar Battle, 7 Wounded
[KhaamaPress] At least 12 Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men...killed and further seven maimed during an operation by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces (ANDSF) in Maiwand and Zherai districts of Kandahar province, said the Ministry of Defense in a statement. "12 Taliban were killed and 7 others were maimed in Maiwand and Zherai districts of Kandahar province during reciprocal operation of #ANDSF, last night," said the MoD in a tweet. Officials did not provide further details on the possible casualties the Afghan forces may have suffered during the operation but said "a large amount of their weapons and ammunitions were destroyed."
