6 Busted over Drug Trafficking Charges in Kabul, ANP defuses roadside bombs, taxi driver kaboomed in the a.m.
[KhaamaPress] Counter Narcotic Police of Afghanistan (CNPA) has arrested at least six suspects Sunday over drug trafficking charges in capital city Kabul, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement.

Officials did not enclose their identities, but said they have seized "some amount" of drugs during the operation.

"Six suspects were arrested over drug trafficking charges after CNPA carried several separate Counter-Narcotics operations in Kabul City," said the MoIA in a tweet. "Some amount of illicit drugs were also seized from the arrested."

According to the ministry, the CNPA has "referred the cases to relevant authorities for further process".

The arrest came a time the country has tighten its security measures against all kind of criminal activities, including arm robberies and kidnapping, that has triggered a widespread concern among residents throughout Afghanistan — mainly the capital Kabul.

ANP Defuses 2 Mines in Rishkhor of Kabul City
[KhaamaPress] A special unit of the Afghan National Police (ANP) has discovered and defused at least two roadside mines in Police District 7 of the capital city Kabul Sunday, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement.

Officials did not provide further details, but said the bombs were "planted by terrorists" in Rishkhor area of Kabul.

"ANP bomb disposal unit discovered & defused two roadside kabooms planted by forces of Evil in Rishkhor area, 7th district of Kabul City," said the MoIA in a tweet.

Twin Blasts Leave Taxi Driver Wounded in Khair Khana
[KhaamaPress] At least two blasts jolted the capital city Kabul on early Sunday morning, security officials confirmed, leaving a taxi driver maimed in Police District 11 of the city.

The first incident occurred in Khair Khana of PD11 in Kabul city, targeting a local taxi driver.

While eyewitness said at least four people have been maimed during the blast, security officials confirmed one — the taxi driver — inured and is landed in nearby hospital for special care.
