Thanksgiving Lockdown Is For The Peasants
It doesn’t matter how many times we point this out. Elected officials absolutely see themselves as the ruling class, telling all you peasants out there how to best live your lives for THEIR convenience.We have continued to document the sheer hypocrisy of "lockdowns for thee, not for me," which clearly shows why all the cautionary warnings about Thanksgiving — well intentioned by some as they may be — are being straight-up ignored. Example A in this gallery of hypocrites is none other than the worst governor in the United States (and he has stiff competition) is Emmy-winner Andrew Cuomo (D-Grandma Killer). You see, after endlessly lecturing New York and pretty much anyone within the sound of his voice about how awesome he is about "controlling" the virus and that’s why everyone should obey him, Governor Grim Reaper of Nursing Homes got caught making Thanksgiving plans that don’t line up with all the advice he was spewing. Later in the interview — as well as during his news conference earlier in the day — Cuomo warned New Yorkers who plan on holding Thanksgiving celebrations as usual that it was dangerous given that the virus can spread in large indoor gatherings. His spokeswoman confirmed that Hancock was traveling to Houston Wednesday to visit his daughter in Mississippi, and that his wife is already there." About 30 minutes before the flight, Hancock’s account tweeted out to "avoid travel, if you can" in order to slow the spread of COVID-19." "As he has shared, the Mayor is not hosting his traditional large family dinner this year, but instead traveling alone to join his wife and daughter where the three of them will celebrate Thanksgiving at her residence instead of having them travel back to Denver," a statement from the mayor’s spokesperson reads. "Upon return, he will follow all necessary health and safety guidance and quarantine." YOU GUYS, IT’S OKAY — THE MAYOR WILL QUARANTINE AFTER THANSKGIVING! The restaurant community in Denver that was just shut down for indoor dining must just be beyond thrilled with how careful the mayor is being to quarantine AFTER his return from a family Thanksgiving gathering. If that doesn’t make your skin crawl, I don’t know what will. Yes, Vermont has returned to in-person school, which is why they would like families to be cautious. But to have "school officials" question kids about Thanksgiving dinner? WHAT. Big Brother would like an accounting of your weekend, please, and the children who rat out their parents will be hailed as a "hero of the state." How about everyone be sensible, wash your hands, take the necessary precautions, protect your elderly, and mind your own damn business. I guess that is too much to ask in 2020.
