Republican Garcia wins as GOP takes back 4 California House seats
[POLITICO] Rep. Mike Garcia has defeated Democratic Assemblymember Christy Smith, officially giving the GOP back four of the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, seats it lost in 2018.Smith conceded Monday afternoon after the last vote update showed Garcia clinging to a 339-vote lead out of nearly 239,000 cast in the race. The difference amounted to one-tenth of a percentage point.Garcia's win completed a Republican comeback in the 25th Congressional District, a Los Angeles-area seat that had remained red for years until Democrat Katie Nice Boobies!Hill  ...Dem representative from California who ran as a bisexual, resigned from Congress when nude pictures of her came to light, along with information that she was being bisexual with one of her aides. Katie appears to be unacquainted with the word shame... unseated then-Rep. Steve Knight in 2018. But Hill resigned less than a year into her term amid sexual misconduct allegations, opening a path for Garcia to reclaim the seat in a May special election matchup with Smith.
