Government forces shell a newly-formed Turkish post in Syria's Idlib
[NPASYRIA] The Syrian government forces targeted on Tuesday, an opposition site near a newly-formed Ottoman Turkish military post, in Idlib, northwestern Syria.

The Syrian government forces shelled during the morning hours, points in the town of Kansafra in Zawiya Mountain, south Idlib, a local source told North Press.

On Monday, the Ottoman Turkish troops established a new military post near Kansafra, 2 km from the frontlines with the government forces in the city of Kafr Nabl and the town of Hizareen.

The government shelling targeted regions and towns in the de-escalation zone in the southern countryside of Idlib, the source added.

The source stated that the government shelling caused major damage to the buildings near the military posts, while no casualties reported.

the area has been witnessing military escalation and mutual shelling for a month coincided with Ottoman Turkish withdrawal from several military posts and establishing others, according to signed understandings with Russia.

The Russian-Ottoman Turkish signed agreement in 2017 and its additional protocol in March 2020 provide to halt the military actions in the governorate of Idlib and its surroundings.
