Al-Qaeda Suspects On Hunger Strike in Miranshah
The al-Qaeda suspects belonging to Pakistan and Afghanistan, detained at Miranshah Jail in North Waziristan Agency, went on hunger strike unto death against their confinement for the last seven months by the political administration. Sources said that condition of these detainees including three Pakistanis and two Afghan nationals became critical when they refused to eat and drink since Monday. "They were lying on the floor of the jail in semi-conscious condition," the sources said. About seven months ago, Pakistani security officials arrested Rafiq Ahmad, Shakeel both residents of Charsadda, Muhammad Hameed resident of Peshawar and two Afghan nationals Mohibullah and Mujahid Shah from Kohat when they were reportedly shifting injured al-Qaeda fighters from Afghanistan to the hospital.
