 [Washington Examiner] A popular ceiling fan sold at Home Depot is being recalled by the hundreds of thousands after consumers reported that blades spun off while in use.The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission posted a notice on Dec. 23 recalling more than 190,000 Hampton Bay 54-inch Mara Indoor/Outdoor fans produced by Fort Lauderdale company King of Fans after it said 47 people had reported blades spinning off while in use. "Due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding COVID-19, some of the remedies identified in recall press releases may not be available at this time. Consumers should check with recalling firms for further details," read a disclaimer on the CPSC's site. "It is important to remember that CPSC and recalling firms urge consumers not to use recalled products."
