[ToloNews] Dr. Khalil-ur-Rahman Narmgo, head of the surgery ward of Baghlan-e-Markazi district hospital, in Baghlan province was killed in an attack by unidentified gunnies in the province this evening, sources said.

Baghlan police blamed the Taliban

The group has not commented on the incident.

Sources said Narmgo was a well-known surgeon in the province and was involved in other cultural activities as well.

This comes amid an increase in assassinations in Afghanistan.
