The National Resistance Brigades is the armed wing of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine in Gaza. The DFLP, which split off from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), is the third-most important group in the PLO after Fatah and PFLP, suggesting a certain fondness for Marxist intellectual posing among the Palestinians.
