Delaware cop, 54, dies after being 'repeatedly stomped on head by suspect who also assaulted elderly couple

- Cpl. Keith Heacook, 54, responded to the call, but was allegedly physically confronted upon reaching the home
- Witnesses report Heacook was allegedly stomped on the head by the suspect
- Heacook was found unconscious and transported to a hospital, where he died Wednesday. He remains on life support for the purposes of organ donation
- The same suspect allegedly assaulted an elderly couple with a glass angel figurine on Sunday morning, between the initial call and the attack on Heacook
- Randon Wilkerson, 30, has been charged with attempted murder, two counts of first-degree assault, two counts of possession of a deadly weapon during a felony, burglary, third-degree assault, and terroristic threatening
- The charges will likely be upgraded to include murder after Heacook's death
