The Maoist DFLP, which split off from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), is the third-most important group in the PLO after Fatah and PFLP, suggesting a certain fondness for Marxist intellectual posing among the Palestinians. The National Resistance Brigades is their armed wing in Gaza.
