Man attacks Asian woman with cane on NYC subway platform in possible hate crime
[NYPOST] A 23-year-old Asian woman was attacked with a cane on a Harlem subway platform in what is being probed as another possible bias attack, cops said Wednesday.The incident unfolded around 6:45 a.m. May 12 after the woman got off the northbound 1 train at Broadway and West 116th Street in Morningside Heights, according to police. As she walked across the platform, an unknown man started swinging his cane at her — hitting her in the head and hip — before he fled onto the northbound train, cops said.
