Asteroid that was once thought to be worth $10,000 quadrillion and make everyone a BILLIONAIRE could actually be just a pile of rubble, new study suggests
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - A new study suggests asteroid 16 Psyche is not $10,000 quadrillion, but a pile of rubble
- Researchers believe it could be 82.5 percent metal, 7 percent low-iron pyroxene and 10.5 percent carbonaceous chondrite
- It could also have as much as 35 percent empty space inside
- Previous estimates said 16 Psyche could contain as much as 95 percent metal, making it chock full of iron, nickel and gold
- It is roughly 114 miles wide or almost the same size as Massachusetts
- It contains one percent of all material in the asteroid belt
- NASA is sending a mission to the asteroid, slated to launch in August 2022 and arriving in early 2026
