President Ghani Inaugurates Khost Airport

As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... inaugurated the Khost Airport during his trip to the province on Saturday morning. Ghani visited Khost province ... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name... along with the First Vice President Amrullah Saleh and other high-ranking officials where he will hold talks with security officials and some residents of the province, the Presidential Palace said. Khost Airport project costs 900 million Afs ($11 million) and it has been built based on international norms, according to officials. The construction of the airport was started 10 years ago.
