Baghdad under curfew...
The authorities are maintaining a night curfew in several parts of Baghdad as fears mount of an imminent U.S. military attack. The curfew is imposed mainly after midnight until 5 a.m. It is being carried out by members of the dreaded Saddam Commandos and Special Security Forces. Residents told Iraq Press that patrols from these two forces, the backbone of Saddam's loyal troops, control main interjections in Baghdad and block entrances to major streets and sensitive areas. As the night falls in Baghdad, the patrols start searching vehicles and individuals and prevent movement of cars and people shortly after midnight. The residents said scores of people have been arrested recently allegedly for carrying fake documents. Well, they're Arabs. Don't all Arabs have at least one set of fake documents?
