Moment gunman fires at fleeing victim as they run through the streets of upper Manhattan in New York's latest shocking shooting incident
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - Police released video of the incident, which shows the suspect chasing after another in upper Manhattan while he fires a pistol multiple times
- The unidentified victim jumps over the median on 7th Avenue and narrowly avoids oncoming traffic
- There were no reported injuries in the shooting, which took place on August 1 at around 1.40pm
- The suspect then fled and got on a red and black scooter
- Police are still seeking the suspect
- It was the latest example of gun violence in New York City's streets
- Shooting incidents are up nearly 15 percent over the same period last year, with 942 recorded as of last week, compared to 820 in 2020
- There are more victims as well, with 1,109 recorded in 2021, compared to 1,000 the previous year
- On Sunday, two shootings in Brooklyn left two dead with another seriously injured
