Sudan not to handover citizens to ICC
Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir has reiterated that none of its citizens would be handed over to the International Criminal Court for alleged war crimes trial.
"Nope. Nope. Ain't gonna do it." | Speaking to an army garrison in the southern province of the country, the official news agency SUNA quoted Al-Bashir as saying that the state would not hand over any suspects for trial outside of the country. Bashir also said whilst visiting the Bahr al-Ghazal province on Saturday that Sudan's own judicial system would take charge of any prosecutions.
"That's assuming there are any, of course..." |
