1 killed in Dagestan bombings
 ONE policeman was killed and several were wounded in two explosives attacks carried out early today in the Russian Caucasian republic of Dagestan near Chechnya, Interfax news agency has reported, quoting police sources. A bomb exploded shortly after midnight (6am AEST) as a police patrol passed by on the road linking the capital Makhachkala to the airport, killing one policeman and seriously wounding two others.
