Knifeman wounds three in attack on high-speed German train: Police arrest 27-year-old suspect

- Attacker struck on high-speed ICE train between Regensburg and Nuremberg
- Police received a call about the incident at around 9am local time on Saturday
- A 27-year-old Syrian suspect was arrested at Seubersdorf, south of Nuremberg
The Bild later updated its article to specify it understands the suspect is a Syrian named Abdalrahman A. who last lived in Passau, a German city on the Austrian border. He allegedly came to Germany in 2014 and had been granted refugee status.
