Fugitive ISIS operative hunted by the Russian government is arrested at airport in Bogota, Colombia as terror suspect is about to connect to a flight to Guatemala
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - ISIS terror suspect Vladimir ‘Ali Ali’ Taranetc was arrested by Colombian authorities at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá on Thursday
- Taranetc arrived on a flight from Istanbul Airport and was waiting to board a flight to La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City, Guatemala
- The National Police of Colombia said Taranetc will be extradited to Russia, where he is facing terror related charges that could land in him jail for up to 20 years
- Taranetc left Russia for Turkey in 2013 before he made it over to Syria, joining a terror group known as Jaish Muhajireen wal-Ansar before it disbanded
- He then reportedly joined the Islamic State and had 'not stopped participating and collaborating by his own free will'
- Jaish Muhajireen wal-Ansar formed in Iraq in 2011 that was also involved in terror plots coordinated in Syria, chiefly known for public executions and slave trafficking
