- Rittenhouse, a white teenager, shot and killed two BLM protesters last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin at the height of civil unrest that swept the country
- There are also fears a verdict could be returned at the same time as one is reached in the case of Ahmaud Arbery's killers
- The black jogger was shot dead in Georgia by three white men in February 2020
