Workmen remove Thomas Jefferson statue from NYC City Hall after 187 years because workers complained America's slave-owning third president made them uncomfortable

It will be interesting to see what the new guy does about it once he’s sworn in.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The request for Jefferson's statue removal came from the Commission on Racial Justice and Reconciliation, led by outgoing Mayor Bill de Blasio's wife Charlene McCray, after black staff complained about the statue that honors a slave owner.
