No place for ISIS-K terrorists in Afghanistan: Taliban
[KhaamaPress] Deputy minister of information and culture and front man of the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
Zabiullah Mujahid has again undermined ISIS/ISIS-K (Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. of Iraq and Syria-Khorasan branch) and added that the forces of Evil have no place in Afghanistan.

In an exclusive interview with Anadolu Agency, Zabiullah Mujahid said that 670 affiliates of ISIS-K have been arrested and 25 hideouts of the fighters were destroyed in the past three months.
Sounds impressive. Might even be partially or wholly true. Or not — there’s no way of knowing, especially if other rebels are being accused of being ISIS-K, or jihadi tourists wander into Afghanistan from other areas of operation.
Mujahid added that the safe havens were destroyed in the Afghan capital Kabul and eastern Jalalabad city of Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
province.

The front man added that ISIS-K is not a big threat in Afghanistan and that this was a small group that has been dismantled in Kabul and Jalalabad.

"The vacuum in Afghanistan created an opportunity for the group to carry attacks immediately after August 15. There was no communication system and security system fixed by the Taliban initially." Said Mujahid.

He accused former Afghan president Ashraf Ghani

of strengthening ISIS in the north of Afghanistan in order to use them against the Taliban.

The statements come as there has been decreased in attacks by the ISIS-K in Afghanistan.

The group has carried out four major attacks in Kabul and provinces along with small-scale explosions since the Taliban takeover that killed and maimed hundreds of humans.
