Week Long Series of Storms for Calif.
[Weather]... heavy snow and occasional wind gusts over 60 mph could make travel increasing difficult, if not impossible, by later Tuesday [21-21]or Wednesday through the Sierra. Major routes including Interstate 80 over Donner Summit and U.S. 50 could be shut down for a time.
All Sierra Passes will be affected. Storm will be comprised of multiple waves over the next week or so with snow level as low as 1000' or as high as 7500' at times. Some passes will be shut down for more than 72 hours at a time - great for water supply - horrible for travel and goods shipment
Stock up and stay safe and warm if you’re in that area, dear Reader. |
