[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] - In a memo sent by the health department Monday, white residents were told not to bother trying to get Pfizer's Paxlovid pill or monoclonal antibody treatments
- 'Non-white race or Hispanic/Latino ethnicity should be considered a risk factor,' the document says in section marked 'eligibility' for the two types of treatments
- The rationale behind the move, the org says, stems from 'longstanding systemic health and social inequities' supposedly subjected on other races
- Such disparities 'have contributed to an increased risk of severe illness and death from COVID-19,' the health department goes on to state in the bulletin
- The bizarre declaration comes as the Omicron variant continues to spread across the country, ravaging The Empire State
