United Airlines Flight Diverted to Chicago -- suspicious material on board
A report of suspicious material on board has caused a United Airlines flight to make an emergency landing in Chicago. The plane was on a flight from New York to San Francisco this morning when a passenger told a flight attendant he saw another passenger with something suspicious. The airline says the flight attendant and flight crew examined the material, and recommended that the plane land immediately. Police aren't saying what the material was, or if anyone was taken into custody. The 66 passengers and eight crew members on board were evacuated after the plane landed, and there were no injuries.
