SDF intensifies operations against ISIS in Hakasah
The Hajin Military Council of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Saturday the arrest of five members of ISIS sleeper cells in a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria. The operation was conducted yesterday in the town of Dhiban in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, the council said. The Media Center of the Hajin Military Council published on its official Facebook page, a video clip during the raid and the arrest of the ISIS murderous Moslems. According to what the council published, the ISIS sleeper cell members were preparing "to carry out terrorist attacks in the region with the aim of destabilizing security and stability." "A number of light and medium weapons were seized with the ISIS members plus documents proving their involvement in carrying out terrorist operations," the council added. The countryside of Deir ez-Zor has been witnessing for a while an increase in killings of members of SDF, employees of the Autonomous Administration, tribal dignitaries and civilians. Most these killing cases were claimed by ISIS. Furthermore, the SDF intensified their security operations in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor to pursue ISIS sleeper cells. Two ISIS members were arrested in a security operation by SDF in the town of al-Zaghir in the western countryside of Deir Ez-Zor yesterday.
